A Special Word from our Executive Director

Hello Camp Restore Family!

Guess what??! I can not help but lead with the fact that our community violence intervention strategies are showing fantastic statistics this quarter. Gun violence is down in our community by 65% over this time last year!!! We are incredibly thankful for the community organizations and leaders on the team and for all the work everyone is doing in our community towards this effort. God is good.

What a month it has been. October is traditionally a Camp Restore slower month. Not this October!  We have had a fall community event focused on making sure our neighborhood kids have all the items needed to be out in the evening safely, our radio patrol has done more patrol hours, field trips doing service in our community,  and very soon we will be able to show amazing progress on the Redeemer House thanks to an amazing donor! The Literacy Program and cooking classes are ramping up and Miss Clare has a Fall Festival on the 31st at the Little Blue House. You are welcome to come help!

Per usual, being an LCMS Gathering year, we are working extra hard to find volunteers for summer 2025. If you have led a group to stay with us before, you can expect some special treatment coming up! If you haven’t, maybe this is your year! Give us a call. No matter who you are, please suggest us as a place to go serve to everyone you know!
