Community connections made, Hope shared, and lives changed! Thank you for the role you have played in this!
It’s been so busy around here that we need to catch up a bit! February First!
Community Impact: MSU
New Community Partners: NLOMA
Frozen Flood Waters: MI Tech

Community Impact: MSU Alternative Spartan Breaks
Together, with your support and our volunteers from MSU, we provided food for neighbors with Everybody Eatz, cleaned our community with a neighboring block club, and worked with Hard Court Hitters to give children the gift of books.
This energetic ASB leader retreat group from Michigan State University was able to come spend the weekend as team leaders, serving together and learning from each other. We’re already looking forward to having them join us again next year!
New Partners: NLOMA
We have made some new community connections - National Lutheran Outdoor Ministry Association! A few of our staff were able to spend a snowy week at Camp Luther in northern Wisconsin with NLOMA. It was a week filled with fellowship, learning, praise and worship, and gleaning from other camps. We are excited to be a part of the NLOMA family! Be on the lookout for camp upgrades as together we work to provide an even better and more impactful time of service for volunteers.
Frozen Floods & MI Tech
In February sewer pipes burst flooding the neighborhood of many members of Pan de Vida, an LCMS Hispanic church. To make matters worse, the flooded water then FROZE! We prayed for volunteers and in response loved welcoming St.’s Peter and Paul Lutheran Church’s MI Tech student ministry!
Together, we were able to bring supplies and relief to neighbors who lost everything through community connections made with the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation. Families were able to feel the love of Christ through these volunteers in their time of need.
