Learning what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus- meet the Z sisters

ree

For sisters Lillian, Claire, and Lauren, Camp Restore became a place where faith moved from head to heart - proving that when we give of ourselves, God gives even more back.

For these sisters, Camp Restore isn't just a mission site; it’s a second home where they’ve learned what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Lillian sees the immediate heart of the mission. "Camp Restore helps so many people," she says. "It is a kind and helpful place... I thank God for that." For her, the impact is clear: your generosity provides the kindness and resources most needed.

Claire has visited three times—with her church and her family—and she noticed a profound internal shift each time. "Every time that I have gone there, I have left feeling a little bit different, like there was a little more of me complete," she shares. From picking up trash in 90-degree heat to bonding with local kids at sports camps, Claire found that the "work" was actually worship. "I feel like I left with a new mindset about God and walked out of there a new person."

Lauren, Lillian’s twin, felt that same sense of completion during her first visit while helping a neighbor organize his garage. "He was so grateful and kept thanking us... I couldn’t feel any happier or complete," Lauren remembers. Watching the staff and her sisters work to make life easier for others changed her perspective on what faith in action looks like. "Camp Restore has changed many lives, including my own. They made my life with Jesus better, seeing how much a simple thing can make someone feel."

When young people like Lillian, Claire, and Lauren say they feel "more complete" after serving in Detroit, it’s a testament to the environment your donations create. You aren't just funding a cleanup or a camp—you are providing a space where the next generation discovers a deeper, more active relationship with Jesus.
