Tree Day coming in March… THANKS to English Gardens!! To Camp Restore, restoration means providing places for the community to gather, heal, and find pride in the neighborhood. English Gardens is part of that restoration as hundreds of English Gardens trees are now planted in places that are the foundation for community meetings, wellness opportunities, and building Detroit's foundational "pride and grit."
“Thank you for the trees that were given to the East Outer Drive Association by Camp Restore Detroit and English Gardens. Currently at this time, the trees have been planted at a park on the corner of Chalmers and East Outer Drive. The trees were planted for the good of the community, as well as to provide some beautification in the neighborhood. This will benefit health, wellness, and self-care opportunities for our community as they see the display of trees, shrubs, and plants. This area is currently being used for the community in various ways from community meetings through the neighborhood organization, as well as many community events. This helps build foundational pride and grit within the east side of Detroit.”
Rodney’s account shows you that simple beautification is the foundation for health, self-care, and strong civic organization. Thank you, English Gardens, for your support that helps our community keep planting the resources and green spaces that fuel Detroit's pride and grit.
