"Today is all about Jesus"

“Is Santa coming today?” asked a volunteer as they helped set up. “Nope. Today is all about Jesus,” was the reply. And it was!

In the things we could SEE. Nativity Scenes everywhere. Christmas tree & lights, with Christ centered crafts.

In the things we could TOUCH. The Nativity Scenes were not breakable and high up, but rather on the table at child height, made of wood so children can play and interact with Joseph, Mary, Jesus, and the rest of the crew.

In the things we HEARD. Miss Clare had the children help her tell us that the gift of Christmas is ALL year long, Pastor Tim shared the birth of Christ with the Gospel of Luke and a Nativity Set, Miss Doris sang an impromptu acapella Away in the Manger, and Pastor Malcolm shared the meaning of Christ’s love in our lives through Spoken Word.

In the things we EXPERIENCED from HCH Teachers, Rockpointe Community Church &  Life of Purpose Christian Church Volunteers, Mt Calvary’s Volunteers opening the Clothing Closet, Lutheran Church of the Redeemer Stockings & parent gifts, Gifts for All God’s Children gifts, Camp Restore friends and family who sent gifts and decorations, and all of the love and help from our Camp Restore community members.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who made it possible for children and families to SEE, TOUCH, HEAR, and EXPERIENCE the wonderful love of Christ to children and families in every way possible.

More stories from the Christmas party coming soon.
