Transforming Lives One Child at a Time: YOUR Impact at Camp Restore in Northeast Detroit

Dear Camp Restore Friends and Family,

God never ceases to amaze! Here is just a small snippet of all the ways YOU have impacted families and children in northeast Detroit one person, one family, one block at a time! 

Children…

65 children became better readers in a safe setting filled with the love of Christ shared by Dr. Clare and her team in the Little Blue House. Many even heard about Jesus for the first time!

120 Children will receive Christmas gifts and hear about the gift of Jesus’ birth at the annual Children’s Christmas Party.

Teens…

Youth in Action week 2025 brought 20 students, daily worship with Tristan and Steve-O and evening table rap sessions with DeMauri, Malcolm, and Steve-O!

35 students participated in the Leadership Academy. 15 of these were in an intensive summer program with speakers, mentors, and a lot of support.  An additional 20 students have come in for resources, educational help, assistance getting out of scary situations, leadership training, and so much more! God is good. 

Radio Patrol intervened in not one, but two situations where guns were utilized at our local  schools. Over 1,000 incidents were reported to the city by Radio Patrol! 

Families Building Communities:

Community Connections took off this summer! By the end of summer over 100 people were coming to weekly BBQs regularly!  

University of Michigan’s Defensive Lineman, Gio El Hadi, has begun coming to campus to get to know the kids and families, playing football, sharing meals, and sharing his story, being a shining example of hope and resilience. He even supplied all the food for a beautiful Community Thanksgiving Dinner!  What a wonderful and fun gift! 

CRD Wide Blessings: 

WE HAVE A PASTOR! Camp Restore now has weekly Bible Studies led by our own Pastor, who has even elected to take no salary!       

Dedicated DORMS have been gifted from Trinity, Warren!! This has already increased our volunteers for 2026!

National Youth Gathering, Best Practices, and the MI District Convention brought us so many more volunteers for 2026! We can’t wait! 

Keep impacting Children & Families:

Our end of the year fundraising officially kicks off this week, with a goal of $35,000 to support this work. 2025 has amazed us with God’s power. We will continue to share stories through the end of the year, many in the words of those impacted!
